Chapman is proud to announce that front boards are now available for the ATB Base. This revolutionary accessory was designed specifically to accommodate a low-angle shot for Key Grip, John Stabile, who was filming a Chrysler-Plymouth commercial in Mojave (see story page 1). The two-foot long front board allows for a steady, low angle shot as close as six inches to the ground. The front board is sturdy enough to hold two people (an operator and assistant) plus a camera on the nose because it is assembled as part of the crane base. Height and width of the boards are adjustable with camera risers and extensions.

A new feature to Chapman's hottest item, the Pedolly®, are sideboards, created by Chapman's design team. The accessory package includes two sideboards and a front board, all of which enable the operator to stand on the dolly during use. The sideboards are capable of two height settings and also come with 3" steel extensions. "The sideboards can be used in a raised up position or turned over to obtain a drop down position", Pedolly Tech, Bob Stawinski, says. "The extensions also turn the narrow sideboard into a wide sideboard. These sideboards give the operator more options when deciding how to position him/herself around the Pedolly. The front board is also reversible from a raised up to a down mode and can act as a battery plate, as well. The extensions screw into the dolly chassis, making the switch from narrow to wide boards both safe and easy!"
