Technocrane, Telescoping Crane Arm
Chapman is pleased to
announce the addition of the innovative Technocrane Telescoping Crane Arm. The 21'
crane arm is now available for rental and complements Chapman's bases and mobile cranes.
The Technocrane Telescoping Crane Arm can be used with Chapman's CS Base, ATB, Apollo, and
Super Nova to achieve greater heights and double axis moves, with a maximum payload of 80
pounds. The Technocrane Telescoping Crane Arm features a variety of innovative
features, including computerized correction, motion memory for the telescope and straight
line crane moves. "It's a tech-only piece of equipment," said Chapman
Remote Head Technician, Louie Attardo. "That means a technician must go out
with each order to operate it." The arm is especially effective for static shots,
where operators gain time and convenience by not having to move the dolly for shots within
21 feet in any direction.
The Technocrane Telescoping Crane Arm can be extended to a length of 21 feet or shortened
to a minimum reach of seven feet and can be programmed for feathered stops at any length
in between from a monitor screen located under the center post. "The best
feature is the straight line crane moves," Attardo said.
Using a computer-controlled telescope, capable of programming up to five feathering stops,
the arm moves freely in and out with the mere touch of a button.

necessary for the arm of your choice. Carts are equipped with swivel wheels, making
