With the dawning of a new year comes new products. The following are some of Chapman / Leonard's latest and greatest equipment and accessories:
Open Mitchell 12" Riser with 12" Offset
This accessory, which can be utilized with your choice of dolly, crane or crane arm, allows the camera operator to offset the camera anywhere within a 360 degree radius. The convenient combination of the built-in 12" riser allows for the offset capabilities and riser features to be used within one piece. This provides quick setup for this type of accessory. The 12" riser also enables more room for a hand to fit up into the mount and tighten the castle nut for the leveling head or riser. The Mitchell 12" Riser / Offset can be ordered under Item #1106. Open Mitchell 3" Riser Comes in 6" or 24" Offsets
This accessory, which comes with a 12" or 24" offset, allows the camera operator to adjust the camera anywhere within a 360 degree radius around the camera mount point. The Open Mitchell Mount (this is the feature of the hole cut out below the Mitchell Mount opening of the riser) enables a hand to fit comfortably underneath the leveling head or riser to tighten the castle nut. The 24" Offset (if used as an offset only) will need an additional washer and 1" bolt to adapt the Mitchell receptacle. Additionally, the 24" Offset can be used as a two camera plate, making this accessory truly versatile. These units can be ordered as Item #1093 for the 6" Offset and Item #1105 for the 24" Offset.
Titan 4' Hydraulic Riser
This accessory can be mounted on any of Chapman / Leonard's mobile and stage cranes. The 4' Hydraulic Riser mounts on the end of the crane arm (pictured below). This riser can accommodate any of Chapman / Leonard's turrets. The advantages of this accessory is that a boom shot can be taken up to the maximum height available from the mobile or stage crane setup, while utilizing a second move with the hydraulic lift, achieving up to an additional 4 feet of height. The hydraulic arm can be operated by the camera operator or DP from behind the camera with the aid of our E.V.A. system. The versatility of this unit is demonstrated by the fact that the 4' Hydraulic Riser is also the lift for the Western Dolly (pictured below). With the ability to work as a riser for our stage and mobile cranes, as well as for the Western Dolly setup, a variety of uses are possible for the 4' Hydraulic Riser.

The Western Dolly incorporates 4 large balloon tires, which makes it perfect for transport across sandy or rough terrain. The Titan 4' Hydraulic Riser can be ordered under Item #1210.
